Blue-violet Light Engine
RayOne™ UV DLP projector was developed for 3D printing and calibrated for digital dentistry. With RayOne, we’ve maximized light intensity consistency to preserve every detail and ensure the accuracy of your printed parts.
Custom-Formulated and Certified
For Surgical Guides and Dentures
Our biocompatible resin for MoonRay D allows you to print accurate and functional surgical guides and dentures. Use our biocompatible resin to go from 3D model to final product in under two hours.
MoonRay D makes it easy to print precise dental models from intraoral or other 3D scans. These models can then be used to test for the proper fit of copings in an exact model of a patient’s teeth and tissue by allowing you to print gaps or walls as small as 75 microns (.075mm). MoonRay D’s resolution is two times better than laser SLA 3D printers, ensuring your printed dental models will never be missing even the smallest of details.
Minimum Layer Thickness
Minimum Feature Size
MoonRay D prints up to ten times faster than laser SLA 3D printers. When using a DLP 3D printer like MoonRay D, the height of your model is the only factor that affects print speed. This allows you to print multiple models in the same amount of time it takes to print one model. You can print a platform full of dental models or copings in two hours, so you won’t have to waste a workday waiting for your parts to print.
Consistent Print Speed
When Compared to Laser SLA
All of your models printed with MoonRay D will be exceptionally accurate. That accuracy is the result of our RayOne D projector and high-performance MoonRay Dental materials. RayOne D’s uniform light intensity across the build platform eliminates the distortion issues you experience with laser SLA and conventional DLP 3D printing.
Accuracy on the Build Platform
Utilizing MoonRay D in your dental practice will lower your costs and save you valuable time. Fill up the spacious build platform and print up to forty crowns or copings with MoonRay Castable Resin in less than two hours, at a cost of about two cents each. See how MoonRay D compares to other 3D printers used in the dental industry below.

Use models printed with MoonRay to create night guards and other vacuum-formed dental appliances. MoonRay Dental Gray Resin’s strength and durability make it the preferred choice for the vacuum-forming process.
MoonRay D’s fast DLP technology, generous build envelope, and affordable materials make it an efficient investment. Maximize MoonRay D’s potential by printing multiple models at once, making your workflow faster and more economical. We broke down the cost and production time of the most common types of dental parts you can print with MoonRay D:
$0.5-$2 / Model
$0.4 / Model
$0.40-$2 / Model
$1-$3 / Model
MoonRay Castable Resin is exceptionally accurate, and burns out cleanly with no ash. You can also build onto MoonRay Castable Resin with wax to easily make minor adjustments to your model before casting. Its opaque finish makes it easy to evaluate the details on your printed model.
At the core of MoonRay D is a custom-built LED DLP projector, RayOne. RayOne hits the correct light wavelength consistently across the build platform for improved resin-curing control and dimensional stability. It’s also amazingly fast, printing at speeds of up to one vertical inch per hour -- much faster than laser SLA 3D printers.
RayOne is manufactured with high-quality, medical-grade components and has a lifetime of 50,000 hours.
High Resolution UV Projector

MoonRay D’s unique resin tank was built to last. We’ve put an end to costly resin tank maintenance -- no more replacing your resin tank regularly or changing the PDMS layer. Our unique resin tank design lasts up to 25 times longer than the resin tanks of similar 3D printers.
When we designed MoonRay D, we aimed to strip away the clutter and keep things as simple as possible. As a result, MoonRay D has no moving parts that aren’t essential to the printing process. This simplicity allows MoonRay D to keep running smoothly over time with limited machine maintenance. MoonRay D also comes fully assembled and ready to start printing immediately.
Fully Supported and Optimized
To start printing, simply add your model and let RayWare Dental Software guide you through the process. RayWare will generate the necessary support structure and provide recommended settings and materials to ensure your parts print properly. RayWare Dental Software is compatible with common 3D file types from intraoral scanners, and future software updates will always be free.
MoonRay D strikes the right balance between wireless and connected. Check for a detailed print status update, including time remaining, within the RayWare Dental Software. In a laboratory environment with multiple MoonRay D machines, you can quickly see which machines are ready to begin a new print.
The MoonRay D package comes with everything you need to get started, including RayWare Dental software access, one liter of MoonRay Dental Gray Resin, an accessories package, and a spare resin tank drum.
